I have a steam cleaner, but it was my mother's and is at least ten years old. And to be honest, despite using it often, I'm not sure how good of a job it does. Don't get me wrong, it does lift stains (some) and the water I dump out is always grungy, but I always thought a carpet cleaner could do better. Maybe I need to treat myself to a new one? LOL.
