In other news I have not added anything to the baby list cause I don’t know what to add. I am going to be posting it on a page here soon so that I can share it with the relatives n such. I’ve been reading a lot about the natural & attachment parenting ideals and I’ve made some decisions. Definitely breast feeding until self weaning, no vaccinations, no circumcision. The circumcision thing is kinda awkward to me cause honestly I’ve always preferred the circumcised look however, after reading about it and some articles about lost sensitivity and such, I wonder WHY I thought that, ya know? And on the breast feeding topic, you can bet yer butt I’ll have no qualms about doing it in public. Though I did put a hood on my list. I don’t need weirdos staring at me feeding my baby and thinking creepy thoughts.. and I know damn well they do it! As for the vaccinations, I’ve never been a fan and after reading about all the crap that is in those shots, yeah no. Just no. The fact that we even do that to ourselves and our children is disgusting.

Anyhow, no soapbox moments! I’m excited about learning more. It’s rare that I’m this excited about anything but I can honestly say, I’m ready. My life may not be ready but I am. Once our finances are in order it’s happening. That’s for sure. But until then I am going to read and read and talk and learn. Definitely something I need to be prepared for.

In other news…. I don’t think I’ve mentioned it but on YouTube there is a channel called The Curvy Girls and its all women loosing weight and one of the girls is pregnant so they needed a new girl to fill the spot and ta da! that girl is me. Oddly enough I, Keeshia, am replacing Kecia, who is pregnant and due to have a baby on my birthday lol! Crazy isn’t it? But next week is when I’ll start doing videos with them so I’ll be also linking them here so that you can all watch.

My goal is to get back down to between 116-120 pounds and I’m currently 166. I’d like to get there by my birthday which is September 24th, which is doable but we’ll see. I definitely want to be there by the end of the year which honestly will take very little effort so if I really hunker down and do this it’ll go much faster. I haven’t really started yet simply cause I’m trying to get things in order, you know.. line up all my ducks before I shoot them (lol, poor duckies). There is a lot I need to change about my daily life including schedule, diet, exercise, homework, etc and it’s all sort of overwhelming me (gah!) so for now I’m sort of just taking it slow. I think when I move into the new office and I have everything I need for the day in one place it will be a lot different.

I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it so you might be confused. New office? Yeah I’ve decided the end of the hall bedroom is too small for me so when Nate leaves I’m taking the bigger room as my office and turning the smaller one into the guest room (which I am actually going to fix up and make look nice for our guests). The bigger room will allow me to have more desk/work space plus three other areas: music, workout, and reading. The music section will have my keyboard & flute, the workout my elliptical and yoga ball/mat/medicine ball, and the reading will have my reading chair and bookcase. And yeah, there really is room for all four stations. Woot! Can’t wait.

I sound rather meticulous about it. But really, I don’t get things done very easily unless everything is right. I have to have enough space, good light, be comfortable, etc. to really be productive. It’s a pain the rear I tell you. But when all the conditions are met I jackhammer stuff out like a madwoman. Like 10+ hour coding sprees or short stories or whatever. I’m a beast when things are right. It’s why I move my things around so much (to the irritation of people around me). The change helps. What can I say, I’m weird. Not like ya’ll didn’t know that to begin with!

I’m ready for change. Now I just have to work for it. Night night!

So yeah! I woke up around 4:00, let all the dogs out, made myself a bowl of soup and some root beer, fed the beasts, and then settled in at my desk. It’s now about 6:00 and I’ve been sort of just dicking around, talking to Nathan about what happened after I went to bed (they played for 3 more hours), and eyeballing my assignment. I still have to do my vlog for today some time, which is going to be tricky since I like to be alone to do it and Josh doesn’t work tonight so I’ll have to figure out where to do it without being pestered. (Josh tends to act like a four year old if I’m trying to do something specifically without him pestering me)

Aside from the homework I will be working on my writing for my vampire character since I didn’t get any of that done this week and that has been eating away at me. There is A LOT to write and I want to be able to get some of it hacked away. I also need to read (and not edit) Nathan’s story bits he’s given me and give some feedback so that he knows he’s not just writing nonsense. ;)

Also, cause it’s uber awesome news: I won the Eden Fantasy’s giveaway over at Jenn.nu!!!!! Yeah, it’s the first thing I’ve ever won in like a contest. (Someone reminded me I’ve won competitions and I argued that doesn’t count!) It’s kind of funny that the first thing I win has to do with sex (which everyone knows its my favorite topic ) and just in time for Vday! It should be on it’s way soon, as I sent in my info, and you can bet your britches I’ll be reviewing it’s usefulness ;) So be on the look out!

Midkemia will be the third IRE game that I have had the pleasure of watching from their opening (Imperian and Lusternia being the other two). I am hoping to begin anew, so to speak, with Midkemia. Unlike the other two I have had very limited exposure to the backstories and happenings that are found in the forums and on the game sites before the game is opened to the public. This will allow me to begin from as novice a perspective as I can possibly get.

So, today at 4 p.m. I will be here at the computer ready to play. Woot woot.

Here”s what is currently on the table:

Geographically, Viricus and the beginning sections of Iskera and Suakedo have been ”mapped” or rather placed upon the main map. Several of the forests, villages, and wild areas have been square mapped (you know, the maps will lil squares and lines?) so as soon as our codebase is at the point where we can begin building, I”ve already got that ball rolling.

The death system and newbie intro are still under development and I expect them to be constantly tweaked until the opening of beta or even later. The guild list is still incomplete but already decently sized. I have a rather neat surprise up my sleeve for them as well.

The race list is currently still on paper and I haven”t had the time to transfer it. It has been pretty much complete for the last year and a half though and boasts 15-20 races. Not all are playable, but more on that later.

Time to get back to work. Refining the first history teaser!

I sat down the other night and began to outline the 600+ years of history in the “Before Akiana” time period (yes, this will eventually be changed to something spiffy. It”s just hard to come up with something that someone, somewhere hasn”t already used). Three pages later I had a good outline to work from. I am planning to stretch is out to 1000 years of pre-Akiana history via some more prophetic entries to balance out the constant warmongering ones. For most of this section of history Viricus and Iskera are at war over land and, well, male ego (traditional, no?). In doing the outline I’ve found there”s only so much you can write about a war without it becoming redundant or boring to the reader. I want neither of these and it will be interesting to work in all the sideline stories and underlying events which will end up being rather important in the end.

So, without further ado I”ll be an awesome lady and set up some more teasing tidbits which I will go into over the next few days.

Amabon

Amabon is the capital of Viricus, the palace city of the kingdom, and the place where every young advernturer dreams of traveling. It is a vast city, stretching from port Tessin to the Narkor desert, and houses several of the most prominent guilds – not to mention it”s the place where the royal court lives.

Vlamera

The Amabonian Kingdom does not rule all of Viricus. Vlamera is located in the southern portion of the continent and ruled by a high council comprised of mostly elfen elders. This council rules over the forests of Respordae, Chrentami, Jaxak, and the Satil grasslands. These areas are a long chain of land cutting across the lands of Viricus and it is a rather odd arrangement with the Kingdom that many scholars remain baffled as to how it was agreed upon.

King Treba

The first man to ever sit upon the throne of Amabon, King Treba was a very proud and widely respected ruler. Throughout most of the war, Treba proved his worth as a tactician and never faultered in his duties to the people of Viricus. In the middle of the war Treba fell ill, leaving the latter half of it up to his young son Wykan.

High Priest Brailon

High Priest Brailon was founder of Vlamera, the elfen city. Along with a collection of well trained individuals he formed a high coucil to rule the tree-top city and protect what natural territories they could from being destoryed. It is said that Brailon and his family had a special bond with the Great Mother. Supposedly it is this bond that guided him in his decisions over which territories to persue and which to leave behind for Amabon to control.

High Priestess Cilitra

Easily one of the most memorable names in Viricus history, Cilitra made her mark on the world as one of the most accurate prophets to date. Each piece of every vision she”d ever been blessed with seemed to come to fruition without flaw. Some cursed her for such a gift, believing she was simply fabricating these visions and ”meddling with fate”. Others looked at it from a divine perspective and revered her almost as much as the divine.

Just the other day Matt Mihaly posted on his blog about the fact that MMO”s can’t achieve the detail that a MUD can. I can”t help but full-heartedly agree with this statement. Little things like full customizing your phsyical appearance from head to toe, writing an intense historical background, even just being able to roleplay to a much more indepth fashion just isn”t present in most MMO”s and is a big reason why I have only played a few of them.
